All Theory Tests From 15 to 21 June Has Been Cancelled

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, DVSA has cancelled and rescheduled all the car theory tests across England starting from 15th to 21st June 2020.

The driver and vehicle standard agency will let people know of the start date for theory tests as early as they can.

Candidates who have their Theory Tests Booked

DVSA is informing all the candidates via email, who have got their theory tests booked from 15th June to 21st June to inform them that their test date has been rescheduled.

In line with government COVID-19 guidelines, they had already informed everyone on 29th May 2020 that theory tests in Wales and Scotland will be canceled and rescheduled up to 21st June 2020.

Driving Instructors who have Booked a Test for their Pupil

If a driving instructor has booked a theory test for his / her student(s) during these dates, they need to contact and inform their pupil(s) that their theory test has been cancelled and rescheduled.

Driving instructors can manage their pupil booking either on the gov.uk site or manage your pupil’s booking account if you have got one. To do this, the instructor will need all the necessary details like the candidate’s licence number. Speak to aDriving if you need more information.

Theory Tests for Key Workers

Theory test service will still be available for key workers and to those candidates who have a critical reason to take a theory test. For example social care workers, NHS staff, etc.

Calling DVSA customer service regarding your theory test will be useless as they won’t be able to help you.

DVSA is monitoring and keeping a close eye on the COVID-19 situation and will inform all the candidates if they cancel or reschedule more tests.

Driver Trainers

Rider and driver trainers still need to continue to limit their driving instruction and services only to key workers. DVSA will update and provide more information regarding the restart of driving lessons as soon as they can.
