Car Theory Test 2019 Guidelines: To book car theory test online you need:
- Provisional driving licence if you have not got one please read article how to apply for your first provisional driving licence or if not sure then contact your local driving instructors Wellingborough Kettering Northampton.
- Email address if you have not got one then you need to book by phone.
- Debit or credit card.
Cost of Theory Test
It cost £23 to book the theory test.
Car theory test consist of 2 parts.
- Multiple choice questions
You get 57 minutes to answer 50 multiple choice questions. - Hazard perception test
Computerized based video clips about spotting developing hazards on the road.
Theory Test Pass Mark
If you want to pass the test then you must pass both parts.
Pass mark for multiple choice questions are 43 out of 50.
Pass mark for hazard perception are 44 out of 75.
What age you can take theory test
You can take the theory test from your 17th birthday onwards.
You can take it from your 16th birthday if you get, or have applied for, the enhanced rate of the mobility component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
Check & change test details
You can check your appointment details if you’ve lost your booking confirmation.
You can change the date of your theory test after you’ve booked it.
How to rebook your test
Click the link rebook your theory test if you have failed you test and want to retake it. You have to choose a date at least 3 working days away.
What documents you need for car theory test
You must take your UK photocard driving licence.
If you have a licence from Northern Ireland then don’t forget to bring the photocard and paper counterpart licence.
You can’t take personal belongings with you into the test room.
