Driving Test Routes in Kettering
Test routes in Kettering consist of different types of roads, junctions and roundabouts. Most test routes includes driving on country roads and dual carriages like A14 and A43. Some of the roundabouts like A14 junction 7, 9 and junction 10 needs good practice.
Also there are two roundabouts together if you are coming from Northampton road heading towards A6003 / Bowling Green Road. Radnor way / Grosvensor road in Barton Seagrave is one of the suitable area for complete beginners. Speed limit on these streets is 30mph with no double yellow lines plus no waiting restriction applies. This is a good area for moving off and stopping plus changing up to 2nd gear. Learners can also practice turning left and right, emerging left and right in this area.
St John’s road Barton Seagrave
Deeble road and St John’s road is another suitable area to learn how to move off and stop car safely. You can also practice turning and emerging around this area with changing up to 3rd gear. Speed limit is same as Radnor road i.e 30mph with no double yellow lines or waiting restriction. Don’t stop on bends or at any zigzag lines.
Bonus Area to Practice
If you have little driving experience than you can practice junctions and turnings at Cheyne Walk, Mill Dale road and surrounding streets. Again speed limit is 30mph around this area. You may see some double yellow lines around these streets.
